פסטיבל אחרית הימים שהחל את דרכו בשנת 1995 הינו פסטיבל שורשי יהודי לזכרו של אמיל לויכטר ז"ל.

אמיל נפטר כמה ימים לאחר ל"ג בעומר 1994, וזו למעשה היתה הפעם האחרונה שניגן עם חבריו המוזיקאים. שנה לאחר מכן, באופן ספונטני, החברים התאספו בחצר האחורית של מפשחת לויכטר, ונוצר פסטיבלון.

 עם השנים  עוד חברים, מוסיקאים ויוצרים  שמעו על הפסטיבל, והוא נפתח והתרחב לכל העם.

מיקום הפסטיבל  כיום הוא   במשואות יצחק הישנה  בגוש עציון שנבנה ע"י סבא וסבתא של המשפחה. היום אנו זוכים לעמוד באותו המקום וליצור הוויה יהודית שורשית. 

אמיל לויכטר ז"ל נולד בקנזס סיטי ארה"ב ועלה לארץ בנעוריו. 

אמיל היה מחלוצי המוזיקה היהודית בארץ היה מרבה להופיע ואהב לנגן ברחובות ירושלים  עם  חברים מוזיקאים .

 כתרפיסט במוזיקה, אהב לעזור לאנשים, והיה אחד הראשונים שעסקו בישראל במקצוע זה

The "Aharit Hayamim" festival which first began in 1995 is a deeply rooted Jewish musical experience in memory of Emil Leuchter z"l.

Emil died a few days after Lag Ba'omer 1994, which was the last time he and his musician friends had the opportunity to play together. A year later, his friends instinctively gathered together at the backyard of the Leuchter family.

Over the years, as more friends, musicians and artists heard about this gathering, and wanted to join, it was moved to Old Masuot Yitzhack in Gush Etzion (which was built by Leuchter's grandparents in 1948).

Emil z"l was born in Kansas City, USA and made Aliya as a young adult. He was a Jewish music pioneer in Israel and loved to perform in the streets of Jerusalem with other musicians. He specialized in music therapy, and was one of the first in Israel.

As in past years, the Leuchter family and sons' band, "Nachat Ru'ach" are hosting this festival and welcome you to join this unique Jewish music experience
